eMBee SEO gets a new logo design

With eMBee SEO continuing to grow into its own separate identity it was time to create a more proper logo.

eMBee Media Lab gets a new logo.

I am more of a graphical manipulator than creator and my eye is better tuned to banners, advertisements, and website layouts. But I have always wanted to create a unique design for eMBee SEO and pay more attention to the branding of the property. I want the design of the branding and website to be similar to my overall scheme used for my personal web design website to reflect a familiar tone for the customers and subscribers that cross over. A "sister site" feel but one that can stand on it's own as a separate channel for my business.

Leading up to the release of version 2.0 I was more concerned with all of the backend work needed to get done and just slapped an “logo” that was nothing more than the font used for my existing web design logo. It was good enough at the time. I only had a dozen or so subscribers to the service and was in the middle of a client project. Now that the application has worked out the bugs, seen a few updates, and grown the number of subscribers I decided to take a little time and work on a new logo.

I like to have an icon incorporated into the logo design. It helps when I need or want to use an identifying mark in a design asset for marketing or in a web layout and do not want to use the entire logo. The icon design is meant to represent digital connections. I like that it reminds me of internet/networking connections and I feel represents the many individual factors that create the overall Search Engine Rankings.

The font choice I used is called Proxon and was made by UI Creative.

I wanted an easy to read font that had a technological feel to it. This font is an extended sans serif typeface and with the pointed endings it provides me with a futuristic aesthetic and keep its easy readability. I have purchased and used creative assets from UI Creative before and have yet to be disappointed.

This was unveiled with the last update for eMBee SEO to version 2.8 and was part of a design refresh that featured softer tones and colors for the dark mode, as well as sharper contrasts and more vidi colors on the light mode.

This will be the last update for the 2nd gen versions of eMBee SEO. I detailed some of my intentions for Version 3.0 and beyond in this post that updated my current work and status for the 1st Quarter of the year.
